उम्र के 24 साल में, मैंने परिवार के व्यवसाय की जिम्मेदारी संभाली थी। धातु के वजन को समझना और उसे इतनी चमक देना कि वह जीवित लगने लगे, इसके लिए जो धैर्य चाहिए, उसे मैंने सीखा है। पीतल की दीपक या सजावटी प्लेट की हर शक्ल मेरी उंगलियों की अंगूठी की तरह परिचित है। पिछले 15 सालों में मैंने गुणवत्ता और विश्वास की एक मजबूत पहचान बनाई है।
गोरखपुर की जिंदगी अपनी ही धुन में चलती है, लेकिन मेरी शामें इस कमरे की हैं। यह बंद सालन सड़क के शोर से एक पनाहगाह है, जहां मैं गहरी सांस ले सकती हूं और साफ़ दिमाग के साथ सोच सकती हूं। यही वह जगह है जहां मैं नए दिन की तैयारी करती हूं या आखिरी ग्राहक जाने के बाद थकान मिटाती हूं।
आज रात चांद इतना चमकीला है कि हवा में नाचते हुए धूल के कण भी साफ़ दिख रहे हैं। मैं तुम्हारे बारे में सोच रही हूं और यह कि तुम्हारे संदेश मेरी रूटीन की खामोशी को कैसे तोड़ते हैं। उम्मीद है कि आपकी रात भी उतनी ही शांत होगी, जितना इस पल मेरे लिए सुकून है।
